Today the Warriors faced tough confrence opponent Montini and were in a need for a victory after falling to Kaneland 6-0 on Saturday. "we really need to come out with fire, we seem to be lacking recently." said a Warriors coach. Motivation comes in many different forms.
And in todays form it was the support of some crazy Canadians visiting Wheaton Academy for the day. These fans created a hockey like atmosphere, chanting, clapping and cheering throughout the game. "we didnt know what the importance of a strike was, but we cheered anyways! We gotta be supportive ya know eh?" Said a fan. But deffinately their favorite player was Sam Perna. "They loved me" said Sam Perna "I really felt a boost to my preformance due to the constant cheering. But not gonna lie I was kinda freaked out." After the game Perna signed autographs for up to an hour, "My hand is hurting big time, I dont know if I have ever written my name so many times." Some rumors are floating around that Perna could be making an appearance on the 15 Day DL due to the excessive autographs sessions. Perna was escorted by police to his car to protect him from his crazed fans. When asked to comment on this, police declined.
Warriors ace Trevor Swany got the start and pitched 5 lights out innings only allowing 1 run and relief pitcher Jake Cousins sealed the victory with no damage done. The runs were scored on a Cori Herbert sacrifice fly and Alec McNally fielders choice. The Warriors got enough production to seal the victory despite a great outing from the Montini pitcher.
I caught an interview with one of the Canadian fans after the game, I asked him his highlights of the game. "Well I dont know a lick about baseball so we decided to make it as similar to a hockey atmospher as possible. Cool eh? But deffinately the highlight was meeting Sam Perna." This crazy fan actually had to be assisted back up after having Perna sign an autograph. "I lost it" the fan went on to say. And as he was getting back into his bus I noticed a Sam Perna tatoo on his arm and neck. However I was to late to catch an interview.
Warriors play Montini again tomorrow at Montini, will the Warriors be able to pull out a victory despite a Candian crowd? We will see.

Warriors Lose 3-1
Warriors Fall to Nazereth 3-1
Warriors fell to one of the top teams in Illinois Nazereth by the score of 3-1. The Warriors got a “horse back” with Cori Herbert coming back and hitting 2 singles and pitching 5 innings only allowing 2 runs. The Warriors were struggling at the plate but still had more hits than Nazereth, having 7 compared to Nazereth’s 4. The Warriors only run came on an RBI single by Alec McNally.

Warriors Beat CC 10-5
Warriors Split Back to Back Games
After a tough loss to Chicago Christian the night before in the extras the Warriors game ready to play. Scoring 3 runs to start the game and never looking back, going on to win 10-5. Max Ishikawa pitched 4 solid innings with Jerry Budzisz getting the save. The offense was powered by Mike Kuppler who was 4-4 with an RBI and Luke Molloy who had 3 RBI’s. An all around solid effort from the Warriors to improve to 8-9 and 3-2 in conference. Even blogger Karsten Hultgren had a solid day. “I worked up a sweat. My arm was feeling good after warming up Schmitty and Cori. I was really putting some pop on the ball. I would say this is one of my top performances.”
Not even mentioning his Tap-Out of Greg Bradford on the way home. Bradford went on to say, “I got beat by the blogger. How humiliating. I think I need to take a mental break for a while to regain my confidence.” We were about to get a further interview but Bradford declined saying he was "done with questions for the night" but added a politeful "Thank you have an awesome day. God Bless."
After the take down Hultgren has been considering dropping his roles of blogging to pursue a career in UFC. "I have the work effort and body type, its just a matter of if Moody will be willing to keep my scholarship up." We will be the first to let you know when news arrives.

Warriors Lose in Extras to CC
WA Falls to Chicago Christian in Extras
The Warriors lost a heart breaker today to Chicago Christian, despite a solid effort from Trevor Swaney who went the who game but couldn’t pull out the victory. It was always a tight one from the beginning. The Warriors were up 2-1 in the fifth inning when CC’s 3 and 4 hitters went back to back to give the Knights the lead 3-2. The Warriors still trailed heading into the bottom of the seventh when Coach Brad Byrne called on pinch hitter Will Quiggle to pinch hit. Quiggle goes on to hit the game tying home run to dead center to tie it and send it to extras. Unfortunately Chicago Christian pulls out the victory by one in extras. Final score 4-3.
After the game I asked one of the coaches about the move to have Quiggle hit, “I am really glad for Wallace. I swear he must be a transfer or something. Is he new? Gotta be new. I am glad I even knew his name! Regardless a huge hit for our team.” I reminded coach of his real name. Good hit Wallace…
After the fourth the Warriors tagged on a couple of runs, after the Warriors batted father of player Jake Cousins runs on to the field. Confusion comes from the bench. I caught Mr. Cousins after the game to ask about the situation. “I just was feeling it! A big inning I was ready to play!” or something like that.

Warriors Win 3rd Straight
The Warriors won their third game in four days with a 13-5 victory over Aurora Central Catholic. With the victory the Warriors improved to 7-6 on the year and appear to have a good amount of momentum.
The Warriors did not come out slow in this game scoring 4 in the second inning. Some would say that this due to the walk off victory over St. Francis, but some contribute it to something else. What was this something else? Well the coaches played a joke on the players by taking the helmets to the game instead of letting the player know that they had them. Nw your saying, "this isnt funny". Just wait. Last year when the players for the helmets, they ran 7 triangles (which is home plate to foul poul to foul poul and back in 30 seconds). The coaches called all the players telling them that they better have the helemets. No one had them. "I was about to go to Walmart and buy a whole new set of helmets" said Warriors firstbaseman Will Quiggle. The best quote goes to Kyle Uitermarkt though who gets off the bus and goes, "i am gonna die! I am gonna die!" It is safe to say that this scare woke the Warriors up and came out ready for this game.
The Warriors had great pitching from pitchers Max Ishikawa and Jerry Budzisz. Max looked great early. But dont take my word for it! After making an ACC batter look like a fool with a curveball, the batter yelled, "Why did you swing at that you moron?!" Filthy stuff Ish. Filthy stuff. Max had a no hitter through three, after coming back to the bench back up third baseman Jameson Brinks says, "Max you have a no hitter!" To which the bench responded, "why did you say that you moron?!" Jameson broke THE cardinal rule of no hitters. And Max payed the price, first batter he faced got a hit. Moron. Jerry Finished the game to get the save and the Warriors won their third straight.
Next game is Saturday at Glenbard North at 2.

Warriors Defeat IC 14-5
Warriors Destroy IC 14-5
As similar to previous games the Warriors got off to a slow start falling behind early to the Knights. The Knights scored 3 runs in the first two innings and were up for most of the game till the sixith inning when the Warriors scored 9 runs. The big play of the inning was when Alec McNally stepped to the plate with the bases loaded. He launches a double off the wall to bring all the runners home.
Throughout the game the Warriors got multiple opportunities to score more runs off of errors. Two notable times were when Drew Sandberg and Alec McNally reached 3rd on bunt attempts, keeping the inning alive allowing multiple runs to score. Upon the poor fielding, Greg Bradford proclaimed, “every blind pig finds an acorn sometimes!” Wait, why would a pig eat acorns? If a pig is blind, wouldn’t the farmer just use the pig as food? How could a pigs digestive system take eating an acorn? So many questions. I am not making these quotes up people. After we thought about what he might have been trying to say, we concluded that he meant “every blind squirrel finds an acorn sometimes.” The great supportive friends that the bench is, didn’t let Bradford forget his blunder.
The Warriors had some solid pitching from starter Derek Enger and relief pitcher Johnny Schmitz. When asked about the performance, Schmitty responded “I just want to get out of the shadow of my brother Dan, I hear the stories about how former coach Willy Bosque hit a homer off him everyday. I am my own man.” Or something like that…
