Warriors Start the Season 4-6
The Warriors entered the season with sky high expectations and have had some very difficult opponents. The Warriors have lost to 3 teams that have won state in past year (all down in Florida) and gave Nazareth (the 3rd ranked team in the state) a run for their money, ultimately falling short 1-0 in a nail biter. The Warriors have beaten Brooks Prep, Hickly Big Rock and two other teams in Florida. The Warriors are lead by college recruits Trevor Swany (Wright State), Cory Herbrt (Kankakee) and Alec McNally (Rose Holman).
Not to mention veteran blogger Karsten Hultgren. When asked on his expectations for the season Hultgren responded, “I have a lot of pressure on me this year. The team expects a lot of me. I need to stay focused and make sure the stats are accurate, shag foul balls, fill up water and make jokes on the bench. Come on now I gotta scholarship to keep.” Hultgren has committed to Moody Bible Institute who’s mascot is unknown right now. “I hope to put Moody blogging on the map” Hultgren stated at a press conference recently.
With sky high expectations, a mix of talented and veteran players and an amazing blogger the Warriors seem prepped to make a state title run.
