WA Takes the Double Header From St. Ed's

Today the Warriors beat the Green Wave 2-1 in the first game and then 10-7 in the second game. With the double header win, the Warriors move to 16-8, start a three game winning streak and sweep the Green Wave this season. The next game is tomorrow against Marian Central Catholic at 430.
In the first game the Warriors got beat once again in the hit total, 8-4, but that did not affect the outcome. The Warriors scored their two runs in the bottom of the fifth which was all they needed to beat St. Edwards. McNally and Molloy got the two RBI’s for the Warriors McNally has been hot recently contributing two huge RBI’s in the last two games. He also got the start and win in this game. McNally pitched a complete game, allowed eight hits and only one run.  
In the second game it was a similar story except the Warriors pounded out 13 hits scoring ten runs! There were two home runs for the Warriors, a three-run-home run for Tate Fritz and a solo home run from Luke Molloy. JD Joiner kept the hot bat going 3-3 with three RBI’s. Alec McNally was 2-4 with two runs and Drew Sandberg was 2-4 with two RBI’s. Jerry Budzisz got the start and had a tough time allowing four runs over two innings but was relieved by Johnny Schmitz and Derek Enger. Schmitz got the win and Enger got the save for the Warriors.
