On Moyo Night, Warriors Beat St. Francis

WA vs. St. Francis
It was Moyo night for the Warriors and they wore orange jerseys in honor of Ndondi high school. For those who do not know what Ndondi is, at Wheaton Academy we are raising money to build a high school over in Africa. The game also happened to be played in Kane County Stadium home of the Kane County Cougars (minor league team for the Oakland Athletics).  The Warriors needed nine innings to beat their rival St. Francis. The Warriors played well scoring five runs in top of the ninth to solidify a 7-2 victory. Despite getting a no decision, Ryan Kramer pitched well for Warriors going six innings, allowing two runs and striking out three. The winning pitcher was Trevor Swaney; he pitched the final three innings allowing only one hit and did not allow a run. Alec McNally and JD Joiner had huge days at the plate. McNally went 3-5 had 2 RBI’s and JD Joiner was 2-3 with two doubles and 2 RBI’s also. With the wins the Warriors increase their record to 13-7 overall and 12-3 in state. The Warriors next game is Saturday against ACC at one.
