Warriors beat Hinkley Big-Rock 14-2

WA vs. Hinkley Big-Rock
The 2011 Wheaton Academy Warriors baseball team opened on their season on March 16 against Hinkley Big- Rock. The Warriors cruised to an easy victory against Hinkley Big-Rock, beating them 14-2. Trevor Swaney started and pitched three innings, allowed two hits and struck out three in the win. Some big hits came from Alec McNally and Ryan Kramer. McNally went 2-4 with a RBI and Kramer was 2-2 with a triple and 2 RBIs. Joiner, Boggs, and Swaney all had hits and RBIs. In his first at bat of the year Derek Enger stroked a solo homerun his first one of the year. Matt Brandys finished out the game with 2 IP and 6 strikeouts. The Warriors defeated Big-Rock by the slaughter rule, and a confidence building victory to start the season.
