Wheaton Academy vs. IC
The Warriors pulled off the series sweep of Immaculate Conception today as they destroyed the Knights 16-7. They pounded out 18 hits giving Ryan Kramer his first win this season. Kramer did not pitch his best, pitching five innings and allowing seven runs, but his team provided for him. Of the 18 hits, JD Joiner and Tate Fritz provided the only two doubles. The Warriors batting put up some stellar numbers; Drew Sandberg 3-6, Trevor Swaney 3-5, Alec McNally 3-5, Matt Brandys 3-6, JD Joiner 2-3, and Jake Cousins who was 2-4. But the strongest performance belonged to Tate Fritz who was 2-5 with five RBIs. Cousins closed the game with two nearly perfect innings, allowing one hit and no runs. With this win they improve to 5-3 but will play their toughest opponent yet Thursday against the Marmion Cadets.
